University of Essex is currently investigating the needs of users like you to guide the exploration of future technologies and improve user experiences. We thank you in advance for your time and willingness to participate in the research session towards realizing this goal. There will be two types of study:
1) Interviews in groups of two in the iSpace on the University of Essex campus in Colchester lasting approximately 2.5 hours – payment for which is £50. Participants taking part in this type of study may be invited back to take part in a subsequent focus group (involving 6 participants) that will be held in the same place on another day and for which they will be paid a further £25. Interviews are done from the 25th to 30th of October and the focus group study will be held on November 2nd.
2) Interviews with individuals in their homes. University of Essex researchers will visit participants in their homes to conduct an interview that will last approximately 2.5 hours. Participants will be paid £50. In-home studies will be carried out on October 31, November 1 and 3rd.
We are looking for people who match broad criteria in terms of home entertainment usage, age and income. To find out if you are eligible please download and complete the Screener Questionnaire electronically, attach to an emial and return to zkhedr@essex.ac.uk.
If you have a preference for the type of study you would like to take part in, please state in the e-mail.
We will contact you if you are selected. If you are not initially selected we will hold your details on a waiting list until 3rd November 2009; they will then be deleted. We will not pass your details on to any third parties.
