System for an Immersive and Mixed reality Language Learning
Aims and objectives
The SIMiLLE project will investigate using virtual world technologies to create meaningful contexts for learning a foreign language. It addresses the problem for distance learning students unable to experience the cultural and social immersion when learning a language, and to enrich and control the cultural content for students already located in the managed hosting environment. A virtual world will be built using Sun’s Darkstar Platform and Project Wonderland tools. It will be evaluated for both its technological and pedagogical utility.

This project is funded by the JISC as part of a Learning and Teaching Innovation Grant. and thesis help
The project is located within the International Academy at the University of Essex. with this title research writing
The project runs from 1st May 2009 until 30th April 2010
The project builds on world-leading buy online research by the team on the MiRTLE project.
